Abair Amhrán (‘say a song’) is a relaxed, supportive space to explore the tradition of Irish song while improving your Irish. Singers are invited to share songs and learn new ones under the guidance of Eithne O’Mahony from the Muskerry Gaeltacht.
Níl aon taithí ar amhránaíocht ná ar an nGaeilge ag teastáil. Múinfidh Eithne agus Kevin na hamhráin agus aistreoidh siad na liricí de réir mar is gá. Beidh taibhiú ón Vespertine Ensemble ina dhiaidh.
No previous experience of singing or Irish is necessary. Eithne and Kevin will teach the songs and translate the lyrics when needed. The singing session is followed by a performance from the Vespertine Ensemble.
